Services

Are you looking to host a bike to work seminar at your work place?  What about just even learning how to ride a bike?  Please contact WABA to talk to us about the services we can provide.  Our services include:

Kids' Bike Rodeos

WABA's kid's bike rodeos are designed to teach basic riding skills and to encourage cycling as part of a healthy and active lifestyle.  WABA maintains a trailer equipped with over 30 bicycles, helmets and other equipment necessary to host a kids bike rodeo where you are.  Contact education@waba.org for details and scheduling.

Confident City Cycling Classes

Designed to cover the basics of bicycle commuting and bike safety, WABA's Confident City Cycling classes are a great way to encourage people to try biking to work.  These three hour classes cover such topics as Rules of the Road, Common Crashes, Lane Positioning and Basic Bike Maintenance.  To discuss pricing and to schedule a class, please contact education@waba.org.

Brown Bag Commuter Seminars

WABA's Brown Bag Commuter Seminars are basically short versions of our popular Confident City Cycling Classes. Designed to be taught over the course of a lunch hour, the basics of safe bicycle commuting and routing are covered. WABA literature such as our Safe Bicycling in the Washington Area, pocket bike law guides and area bike maps are available free. Please contact education@waba.org for more information.

Train the Trainer

In some cases, WABA can provide train the trainer seminars to teach others to educate children about safe walking and bicycling.  Once trained, teachers, police officers, volunteers and others can help expand the reach of WABA's safety programs.  Contact education@waba.org if you are interested.

Bike Valets

WABA no longer offers bike valet services. Please email events@waba.org with any questions.

WABA would like to thank REI for support of the commuter seminar program.
