Bikefest was a success!

What do green lanes, jazz music, and tacos have in common? They all rocked at Friday’s
Bikefest fundraiser and celebration party!
The Washington Area Bicyclist Association has a 40 year history of successful advocacy in the Metropolitan Washington region and last Friday we had the chance to celebrate with hundreds of our closest friends, supporters and WABA members.
On behalf of everyone at WABA, we wanted to thank Bikefest’s generous bicycle-loving partners:

A huge thank you to
Boeing for being Bikefest’s premier financial supporter and to
Chipotle for both financially supporting the event and bringing an amazing spread of delicious tacos. Also thank you to our friends at
CH2M HILL for their financial support, to Riley at
ESP Sound for his generous in-kind donation of the event’s sound and stage equipment, and to the
Greater U Street Jazz Collective for entertaining our guests in the most jazziest of ways.

We also wanted to thank everyone who purchased tickets and came out to the event. Bikefest successfully raised funds needed to continue WABA’s advocacy, outreach and education efforts. By attending Bikefest, our supporters helped fund the expansion of future trail networks, bike lanes, bikesharing and safer streets.

Didn’t make it to Bikefest this year, but still wish to show your support of WABA’s mission? Consider
donating now to support Bikefest or
becoming a WABA member today.
