Introducing EcoPrint, a WABA Business Leader Member

WABA’s Business Members understand the importance of a community that bicycles. Their membership supports our advocacy, outreach and education. Our business members are committed to a sustainable future of our region and are adding their voice to a growing number of bicycle-friendly businesses supporting WABA. Today meet EcoPrint. EcoPrint has a unique story. They began as a traveling print shop—on a bus. An old, reconverted school bus served as a campaign vehicle for their nonprofit grassroots advocacy group back in 1977.  Traveling the country to push for political and environmental reforms, they needed to print flyers along the way.  So…they bolted a printing press to the floor of the bus.

The EcoPrint bus – the early days of the company.

Now they are a full-time printing company and an industry leader in sustainable printing solutions. They have many firsts: the first company to offer a high post-consumer waste recycled paper, they created their own Chlorine Free recycled paper, they created their own Eco-Ink, and were the first printer to get 100% of their electricity from wind farms. EcoPrint supports community organizations like WABA and does so in an environmentally and ethically conscious way. They also print most of WABA’s printed resources! If you are on our RideOn mailing list keep an eye out for the latest issue that went out this week. We are proud to call EcoPrint a WABA Business Member!
