Second Annual Bicyclists’ Choice Awards
You are cordially invited to join WABA for our second annual Washington Area Bicyclists’ Choice Awards on Thursday, February 25th, 2016 at the Thurgood Marshall Center Trust building in DC’s Shaw neighborhood.
The Bicyclists’ Choice Awards is WABA’s way of celebrating the people that are working to make bicycling safer, easier, and more popular. Plus, we just want another excuse to party with you.
As part of the Bicyclists’ Choice Awards, we want YOUR OPINIONS! (And we know that some of you are very opinionated, so now is your chance.)
We want you to tell us who you think is the “Best of the Best” when it comes to biking: the bike lanes, policies, and infrastructure that you love; your favorite shop; your favorite social ride; the bike friendliest business you know, and more.
Nominate your favorites, and RSVP for the Bicyclists’ Choice Awards event, today!
Nominations will be open until 4:30pm on Friday, February 5th.
The awards event, along with WABA’s Annual Members Meeting, will take place on Thursday, February 25th, during which we will party and recognize all of the winners.

The Awards party will be a fun and social celebration of the people and places that make DC, Maryland, and Virginia great for bicycling. Admission to the event and appetizers are free, beer and wine a $5 suggested donation.
Anyone is welcome to attend the Awards event. Guests and nominees for the Awards event should arrive between 7:00 and 7:30pm. The awards presentations will begin at 7:30pm.
The Annual Members Meeting will take place prior to the Awards event. If you are a WABA member and are interested in participating in our Members Meeting and voting in our Board elections, please arrive by 6:30pm. The Members Meeting will take place from 6:30 to 7:15pm.
