Kenyon St. Protected Bike Lane & Safety Project Update at ANC 1A

On Tuesday, March 22nd at 7:00 PM, Advisory Neighborhood Commission 1A’s Transportation Committee is getting an update from District Department of Transportation planning staff on the proposed extension of the Crosstown Protected Bike Lanes and traffic calming on Kenyon St. If you live in the area or travel Kenyon St. NW, consider attending. to learn more.

An east-west protected bike lane between Brookland and Columbia Heights was first proposed in the 2014 MoveDC Plan and recommended in more detail in the 2017 Crosstown Multimodal Transportation Study. On Kenyon St. NW, we see an opportunity for extending the protected bike lanes to westward and additional changes to improve pedestrian safety and reduce speeding.
