The Wealth of the Watershed (WoW) program series is designed to introduce young people and their families to all of the wealth the Anacostia River and its surrounding watershed communities have to offer.

Interested in spending quality family time learning more about the ongoing conservation efforts within the Anacostia Watershed? Get the family together and join us on a free family bike ride to explore the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail and Kingman & Heritage Island. The roughly 6 mile ride will start at Anacostia Boat Ramp Parking Lot, head upstream along the east bank on the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail to Kingman & Heritage Island and then head back along the west bank following the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, ending back at Anacostia Park. We will stop along the ride to discuss various Anacostia Watershed conservation and restoration efforts and to reflect on all the great places we can access using the trails within the watershed. This event is open to families (8 years old and up). Participants must be prepared to ride a bike continuously for 20 minutes. Registration is required. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes and bring water.
