Commuting Seminar (CS): For adult cyclists who wish to explore the possibility of commuting to work or school by bike. This 1 hour class can be tailored to fit a 'brown bag' situation and covers route selection, bicycle choice, dealing with cargo and clothing, bike parking, lighting, reflection, and foul weather riding. fee may apply

Bicycling Skills 123: Youth (123Y): A 2 hour training seminar for community volunteers who want to learn how to host a bike rodeo, aka "bike clinic". This seminar will give you all the procedures, layout and content to run a bike clinic on your own. You will have to provide the equipment (bikes, helmets, signs, tape, chalk or cones, etc.) and volunteer staff to run your event. fee may apply

Motorist Education (ME): A 3-hour classroom session, this course can be easily added to a driver's education curriculum, such as diversion training for reckless drivers or a course designed local bus drivers. Directed towards motorists in general, topics covered include roadway positioning of cyclists, traffic and hand signals, principles of right-of-way and left and right turn problems. Materials include Share the Road literature for bicyclists and motorists as well as other fact sheets. fee may apply

Learn to Ride (L2R): Are you an adult who never learned how to ride a bike? Now is your chance to learn! Come to WABA's adult first time riders class and learn to ride a bike. We use a technique that has an 80% sucess rate. There is a $10 fee for this class, which includes a 1 year introductory WABA membership. Bikes provided by request during registration.

Confident City Cycling part 1(CCC1): Covers basic bicycling information and on-bike skills such as: bicycle selection, fit, inspection, gearing, cadence, clothing, accessories, and bike handling basics like starting and stopping, riding straight, scanning and signaling. Half of this class will be in the classroom and half will be on-bike practicing bike handling skills. You are invited to bring your bicycle to participate or if you do not bring a bike, you can watch others demonstrate bike handling skills.  Participants must bring their own bikes, helmets, and water. Participants will be required to sign liability waivers. This class is recommended before taking CCC2. free

Confident City Cycling part 2 (CCC2): Covers more advanced cycling techniques such as: vehicular cycling principles, roadway positioning, lane changes, turns and parking lot drills to learn avoidance maneuvers. Half of this class will be in the classroom and half will be on-bike practicing avoidance maneuvers and finally a supervised group ride on open streets with motorized traffic. CCC1 is a prerequisite for new or beginning riders. Participants must bring their own bikes, helmets, and water. Clipless/SPD shoes/pedals are not recommended for this class. Participants will be required to sign liability waivers. free

Confident City Cycling part 3 (CCC3): Part 3 is the evaluative module designed for students who want to obtain a full TS101 certificate in 3 classes instead of 1 nine hour class (CCC 1,2,3 equal to TS101 if taken in same year). The first half is an in-class written evaluation and the second half is an on-bike evaluation. Participants must bring their own bikes, helmets, and water. Participants will be required to sign liability waivers.

Traffic Skills (TS101) Gives cyclists the confidence they need to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. The course covers bicycle safety checks, fixing a flat, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques and includes a student manual. Recommended for adults and children above age fourteen, this fast-paced, nine-hour course prepares cyclists for a full understanding of vehicular cycling. See Confident City Cycling above for the modular approach (in 3 parts) to this class. fee may apply

Group Riding (GR): To ride safely in a group, you should first be familiar with the techniques for riding predictably, on public roadways, as an individual — such skills as proper lane positioning and emergency bike handling. However, cycling in a group places added responsibilities on each cyclist, so all must understand and practice the principles of group riding. CCC1 and 2, or TS101 is a prerequisite for new or beginning riders. fee may apply

League Cycling Instructor (LCI): Certified instructors can teach BikeEd classes to children as well as adults. Help bring the joy of safe cycling to others. If you are an experienced cyclist and would like to teach others please consider taking the next step towards certification. TS101 is a prerequisite for a certification seminar. Instructors are trained at seminars held periodically throughout the year. fee may apply
