Come gather with other families and friends who have loved ones who were severely injured or killed as a result of traffic violence. We will have two speakers, Pastor Kim Capps and a Montgomery High school student, as well as musical performances by a flute duet and a choral group, symbolic lighting of electric memorial candles and space for anyone attending to speak about the people who have suffered from traffic crashes. Join us in the first floor lobby of the M-NCPPC Headquarters building at 2425 Reedie Drive, just above the Wheaton Metro station. We will start at 5:30pm and gather until 6:30pm.
This gathering is in recognition of World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, an annual global observance set up by the United Nations to honor those who have lost their lives or been severely injured by roadway crashes. For more information visit this WDoR Website.
Montgomery County Families For Safe Streets is a local chapter of the National Families For Safe Streets movement meant to support and advocate on behalf of families and others impacted by traffic violence. See the MoCo FSS Website to learn more.
