Join WABA and the DC Trail Rangers on a bike ride through the Anacostia Tributary Trail System! The ride will start at the gazebo in River Terrace in NE DC and continue north along the Anacostia River Trail and Northeast Branch Trail to Lake Artemisia. Along the way, WABA staff will teach riders how to use the mobile phone application iNaturalist to document the different plants and animals found along the trails. Once at Lake Artemisia, event participants will join the Anacostia Watershed Society in an afternoon of programming celebrating the 10th Annual Anacostia River Bioblitz, a week-long communal effort to record as many species as possible along the Anacostia River Watershed.

This is a no drop bike ride where the entire group will stay together while riding at a relaxed, conversational pace. Event participants must bring their own bicycle and helmet. At around 2pm, event participants will have the option to either stay at Lake Artemisia for more of the afternoon or bike back to River Terrace with WABA staff.

By registering for this event you agree to follow WABA's Code of Conduct.
