Bike with WABA instructors to Peirce Mill in Rock Creek Park to learn how ice cream was made before electricity! Make sure to stick around to tour DC’s last working gristmill. Ice cream sandwiches provided!
This 1.5 mile guided, no drop, family-centered bike ride will start at the Powell Rec Parking lot on 16th st, ride through Mt Pleasant and end at Peirce Mill. This ride will take place on roads with varying levels of traffic.
The family ride is open to all. Rules:
- Each family must be individually registered.
- All riders must wear a helmet.
- Children aged 15 or under must be accompanied by an adult.
- Riders will not ride ahead of the lead bike.
- Riders must follow instructions given by any ride marshal.
- Kids 5 and under should ride on an adult’s bike as a passenger.
- Riders should be comfortable riding with traffic
