Hands off Hains Point! We’re headed back to East Potomac Park for another rally: Hains Point Hoopla 3.0.
Join us at Hains Point on Sunday, October 4th from 10am to 12pm to stand up for the beloved public space around East Potomac Park.
We’re coming together to demonstrate our support for the park, to call for accountability and transparency, and to show solidarity between all park visitors.
The future of Hains Point at East Potomac Park is (still) uncertain. The lawsuit is ongoing. Trees are getting cut down. September 1st, the date shared for the start of construction, has come and gone though no plans have been shared publicly to date.
We’re holding the line: Hains Point should be for people! We need a future for the park that continues to support all visitors who enjoy the public space. Demonstrate to federal and local officials what this place means to DMV residents and that we will not sit idly by while one of the great public spaces in DC is threatened.
P.S. If you haven’t already, sign the petition to Save Hains Point for People!
