As voters in Montgomery County, we are critically interested in learning the views of candidates running for County Executive on the important transportation issues facing us.

  • Will the next County Executive invest more in Vision Zero? In Bikeshare?
  • Will the next Executive increase investments in RideOn and dedicated bus lanes,  protected bike lanes, and traffic calming measures?
  • How will the next Executive approach policies that can support alternate travel modes and reduce car dependency?
  • How will the next County Executive improve safe access to Purple Line stations?

Join us on Tuesday, April 14 from 7:00-8:30pm, to hear the candidates for County Executive discuss these and other transportation issues in person at the Planning Board Hearing room located at 2425 Reedie Drive, right near the Wheaton Metro stop. The forum will be moderated by Jack Hogan of the Banner magazine and will include a chance for you to ask your transportation related questions that evening.

The forum is hosted by the Washington Area Bicyclist Association, Action Committee For Transit, Coalition For Smarter Growth/Montgomery For All, and Montgomery County Council of Parent-Teacher Associations.
