Ribbon Cutting on the Met Branch Trail

Join us and Mayor Muriel Bowser to celebrate the opening of a major new trail segment along Blair Rd NW.

This newest section of the Met Branch Trail extends nearly two miles from Fort Totten to Takoma, a major step towards eventually completing the trail between Union Station and Silver Spring. This is a big deal. The Met Branch Trail has been in the works for decades, and it’s a global case study in the creativity required to build a trail through a developed urban landscape.
