WB&A Trail Patuxent River Bridge Ribbon-cutting Sept. 16 at 10:30am

Join Prince George’s County and Anne Arundel County by bike, scooter, or on foot for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the WB&A Patuxent River Trail Bridge! The new 530-foot bridge is a vital connection that unites the WB&A Trail between the two counties creating a 13-mile continuous trail from Lanham, MD to Odenton, MD. The trail bridge also enhances access for national trails, including the East Coast Greenway, American Discovery Trail, and the 9/11 National Memorial Trail and regional trail networks including the Capital Trail Network. Plan to arrive at the bridge site for a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at 10:30 AM, followed by official remarks starting at 11:00 AM and concluding around 11:30 AM. We recommend biking from a nearby metro station or park at one of the designated locations and then bike or walk to the bridge site. Please note that although the trail is paved, it features an uphill section on the Anne Arundel side.

Exercise extra caution on the trail as you approach the bridge, as you might encounter shuttle vehicles, cyclists, walkers, and others present along the route.
