Parking Reimagined is Fairfax County’s most comprehensive look at parking – including bike parking – to date. The proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance will establish bike parking minimums for the first time and significantly reduce car parking minimums near transit centers, which will allow for more housing, less sprawl, and less car dependency. The plan is far from perfect but is an important step in the right direction. The County has added a second public hearing meeting to take place on Wednesday, September 13th.
