  • Leading community outreach and and help organize events to educate other high school students on safe road user behavior, including a second county-wide Youth Transportation Safety Summit, in collaboration with community partners
  • Learning how to organize community safety walks from leading professionals, and help organize community safety walks to measure the safety of busy roads for all road users (pedestrians, bicyclists, drivers)
  • Developing skills in graphic design in order to design, write, and create newsletters and social media posts to help educate the community about vulnerable road users and safe roadway behaviors
  • Gaining public speaking skills in order to address community members concerning vulnerable road users and transportation safety concerns in the community
  • Collaborating with the cohort to organize community projects to empower community members to be aware of unsafe roadway behaviors and conditions
  • Under the leadership of a trained Licenced Cycling Instructor, helping to organize bike rodeos in the county to spread the joy of cycling in collaboration with community partners
