Meet Michelle Shin, WABA’s new Vision Zero Coalition Manager

Hello! My name is Michelle Shin, and I have joined WABA as the new Vision Zero Coalition Manager.

While my background has primarily been in federal and commercial consulting, I am excited to tie this generalist mindset with a truly mission-focused, impact-oriented organization. My journey as an urban bicyclist started after studying abroad and living with a host family in Copenhagen, Denmark. Upon graduation, I moved to Washington, DC, where I have continually been an advocate for safer streets and greater accessibility to the region’s public transportation system.

As the Vision Zero Coalition Manager, I will be working with Jeremiah Lowery, Sarah Haedrich, and other advocacy team members to advance Washington, DC’s Vision Zero work. I look forward to working with you all to proactively cultivate safer streets for all. If you have any questions, comments, or just want to say hello, please get in touch with me at michelle.shin@waba.org!
